No. 12 3/4 Double Button Bronze Victor Pocket Block
Cast in solid bronze the #12 3/4 pocket block is 4 1/4 inches in length. The sole is cast 1/8 inch thicker than the original for better heft and balance. The blade is made of the best R-62 hardened tool steel and is almost twice as thick as the originals were. I have upgraded this classic to a stunning graphic masterpiece with the "double button". Victor script in both front and rear knobs! Each plane is painstakingly hand finished, polished, and patinated to perfection! To top everything off it even comes with an exquisite period style box! Every centimeter or should I say inch of this plane is made in Connecticut USA, To the highest possible standards.
Every plane is personally cast by my son and I in bronze. All planes are made using the highly precision and accurate lost wax casting method. It also takes much more skill to achieve, and is highly labor intensive compared to sand casting. Because of this my planes are made like precision sculptures and can only be cast in very limited (small) quantities. Not cranked out "en mass" by the 1000's like the so called "Heirloom Toolmakers"!
